Financial Analysis Training

Build Your Financial Analysis Skills Through Practical Experience

Financial decisions shape every business. And those decisions rely on people who can turn numbers into clarity. Our program focuses on building your capability to analyse business finances with confidence.

We've structured this around real business scenarios that Australian companies face. You'll work through actual case studies from retail operations in Brisbane, manufacturing firms in Melbourne, and service businesses across regional areas. Not theoretical exercises—genuine financial situations that need thoughtful analysis.

How We Built This Program

We didn't start with a curriculum. We started by talking to business owners and finance teams about what they actually needed.

1
Early 2023

Foundation Research

Interviewed 47 small and medium business owners across Queensland and New South Wales. Asked them what financial skills they wished their teams had. The answers surprised us—they weren't looking for accountants. They needed people who could interpret data and explain it clearly.

2
Mid 2023

Program Design

Built the framework with input from practising financial analysts and business consultants. We tested early modules with a small group in August 2023. Their feedback reshaped how we present cash flow analysis and budgeting fundamentals.

3
Late 2023

First Cohort Launch

Twenty-three students joined our pilot program in November 2023. We learned as much from them as they learned from us. Their questions about variance analysis and financial reporting helped us refine the content significantly.

4
Throughout 2024

Continuous Improvement

Added modules on financial modelling and investment appraisal based on student feedback. Partnered with local businesses to provide case study material. Started offering flexible scheduling after several students mentioned juggling work commitments.

2025 Forward

Expanding Access

Currently developing additional support materials for distance learners. Planning to introduce specialised tracks for retail and professional services sectors. Our next intake opens July 2026 with enhanced mentorship options.

Learn in Ways That Work for You

People absorb financial concepts differently. Some prefer structured weekly sessions. Others need flexibility around existing commitments. We've built options for both.

Live Interactive Sessions

Join weekly online workshops where we work through financial statements together. Ask questions in real time. See how others approach the same problems. Sessions run Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings to fit different schedules.

Self-Paced Materials

Access recorded content and exercises whenever suits you. Work through concepts at your own speed. Most students combine this with occasional live sessions for questions and clarification.

One-on-One Support

Book individual sessions with instructors when you're stuck on specific concepts. Particularly helpful for ratio analysis and financial forecasting, which often need personalised explanation.

Learning Through Real Cases

Theory matters. But application matters more.

Throughout the program, you'll work with financial data from actual businesses. A café chain considering expansion. A manufacturing firm evaluating new equipment. A professional services practice analysing profitability by client type.

These cases come from our network of business partners who've shared their challenges. You'll analyse their situations, develop recommendations, and sometimes present findings back to the business owners.

Recent students worked on a case involving a Burleigh Heads retail business weighing up a second location. They analysed three years of financial data, built cash flow projections, and assessed financing options. The business owner later told us, "Their analysis caught issues our accountant had missed."
